Substantial construction commenced in March 2007. This involves:
- Heavy plant and machinery commencing earthworks.
- Traffic changes such as road detours.
- Drainage works.
- Pavement construction.
- Bridge construction.
Stage 1 - Construction of southbound lanes.
Stage 2 -
Construction of northbound lanes.
Stage 3 - Last part of the southbound lanes through Nerong.
Work will be undertaken simultaneously along the project
corridor.
