Advertisements are regularly published in the local newspapers to explain the current status of the project and inform the public about traffic changes and other factors affecting the community. A construction update advertisement is published every 3 months and traffic information is published on an 'as required' basis.
These advertisements are downloadable from the Information
documents section of this website.
Community updates (newsletters) will be published at milestones and distributed in all areas of the local community affected by the works. These outline the status of the project, construction progress, upcoming construction stages, environmental management and community involvement achievements as well as information on project displays and locations.
These newsletters are downloadable from the Information
documents section of this website.
Letterbox drop notices, leaflets and flyers will be sent out to inform and advise local community members of any changes affecting individual properties, residents and businesses.
These items are downloadable from the Information
documents section of this website.
A community interest group has been established for the construction stage of the project works. Issues for discussion are likely to include local vehicle, pedestrian and cyclist requirements, construction stage traffic diversions, noise control measures, air and water quality, landscaping requirements. The community interest group is made up of representatives of local communities, Great Lakes and Port Stephens council staff officers, the Environmental Management Representative (EMR), and representatives from the RTA and Abigroup. The group meets monthly and meeting notes can be viewed in the Information documents
section of this website.
